The Intellectuals Cricket Club of Alicante have just completed a successful tour of South Wales. Despite losing both games the Bonalba based club put up a good show in both games to give their opponents competitive matches.
The first game against Media Wales was restricted to 18 overs per side. Intellectuals batted first and posted a total of 73-8. In reply the home side chased down the total with nine wickets remaining.
The following day the club played against Machen CC. In a 30 over clash Machem batted first and were all out for 173. Intellectuals looked to be on course for victory but were finally bowled out for 164 just ten runs shy of victory.
Congratulations to the Intellectuals on their tour and representing Spanish cricket so well.
