Pinatar Arena was the venue for the latest Spanish Academy games, and the opposition was in the shape of Stowe School, arguably the strongest team the youngsters have faced to date. 

The first of two games over the weekend saw the Buckinghamshire independent school’s Under 14 squad score 166 for 6 off their 35 overs.

In reply, the Spanish Under 13 Academy accrued a total of 127 for 8 from their over allocation. Man of the match for the hosts was Jack Perman who made a major contribution to Spain’s cause.

Tommorrow it is the turn of the Under 18 squad to play their English counterparts, again at Pinatar Arena. All welcome, admission is free.
