Gracia secured a six wicket victory over Paradise CC in the latest Cataluyna league encounter.
Batting first at Montjuic Stadium Paradise could only many the sub par total of 80 for 8 from their 25 over allocation. Afzal was the outstanding batsmen scoring 35 of his team’s quota, whilst all the other players in his team failed to reach double figures.
Goldy was the pick of the Gracia bowlers taking 3-28 and this was complemented by Sahil who also bagged two wickets for just 19 runs.
Gracia made short work of the Paradise total and knocked off the score for the loss of just four wickets in just 10 overs. Openers Hardeep and Pradeep scored 30 and 31 runs respectively to put the game out of the reach of Paradise but the bowling side kept plugging away valiantly to keep the spectators interested.
Harvinder was rewarded in his two overs with two wickets but it ended with a second successive defeat for the newest club in the Cataluyna League.
Gracia 81 for 4 beat Paradise CC 80 all out by 6 wickets.
