Gracia’s victory over the Warriors effectively ended any realistic chance the Girona based side have of making the regional finals in a well contested Primera A fixture at Montjuic last Sunday.
Batting first after winning the toss Gracia looked to be in trouble at the interval, having only scored 110 all out from 24 of their 25 overs.
However, the usually secure Warriors batting was even more brittle than that of Gracia and they were toppled out for just 52 runs in 13 overs.
Bowlers from both sides had an enjoyable day, with Nazeem, Kuldeep and Waqar taking two wickets apiece for the Warriors and Vijay taking 4-23 for Gracia. Both teams are now on twenty points with the Warriors having played four games to Gracia’s three, but both remain well adrift of league leaders Cataluyna CC who have 50 points and remain unbeaten after five games.
