Match Nine in the GPL pitted Garrotxa against Vic Stallions and it was Garrotxa who took the points to put them on top of the table.
Stallions won the toss and elected to field first. Garrotxa batted well in their 20 overs and posted the challenging total of 187 on the scoreboard.
Raghu was the top scorer hitting an unbeaten half century, whilst Setthi and Laddi scored 43 and 23 respectively.
Stallions tried hard to chase down the score but eventually fell well short – finishing 113 runs all out. Jonty Paji was the top scorer for Vic with 50 runs.
Garrotxa now have seven points from five games, closely followed by New Target who have four points from three matches.
Congratulations also go out to Sonu Singh (Garrotxa CC) and Tarlochan Singh (Vic Stallion) who became the first recipients of the Federations Spirit of Cricket awards.
