FUNDING GOES TO CHARITIES FROM THE VIRTUAL TRIP TO LORDS

LORDS VIRTUAL TRIP UPDATE:
All of the funds raised from our La Manga to Lords (and beyond) challenge have now been collected and distributed to our three chosen charities. In the end, we raised far more than we expected, with the final total being in excess of €1200.
This meant that instead of dividing the money 50/50 between the club and the charities, we could split it four ways with €326 going to our club funds to help us keep cricket affordable for our members. More importantly, we were able to make significant donations to three very worthwhile causes.
€300 to Extienda La Mano – Reach Out
€300 to Asociación Española Contra el Cáncer
€300 to Los Infiernos Perrera Supporters
We hope the donations will help these three great organisations to continue their important work and keep making a difference, especially in these tough times.
Once again, we would like to say a huge THANK YOU to all our club sponsors, members, families and friends of the club who donated.
Well done to all our players who walked, hiked, ran and cycled the 3150 virtual kilometres from La Manga to Lords and on to every test ground in the UK.
A big thank you to Charlie Hunt for setting up the fundraiser, keeping track of our progress and motivating us all with his daily updates. Another special mention to our Vice Chairman, Paul Harvey, who in addition to covering the most kilometres (500 in total) also made sure that the money was distributed to the charities as quickly as possible.
