Friends XI opened their league account with a win over another seeded team in Group Two Badalona Shaheen.
Friends XI won the toss and elected to bat first. Aarif was the mainstay of a good total posted by his team as he carved his way to a fine half century. The side were finally bowled out in their final over for a very competitive 171.
Adeel took three wickets for 35 and Saqib, Farooq and Mustafa were also among the wickets for Shaheen.
Badalona tried hard to chase down their competitive total but were finally bowled out in the 18th over for just 103 runs.
All five bowlers took wickets for Friends XI but the star of the show was Razaqat who took four Shaheen wickets for just 13 runs.
Friends XI 171 all out beat Badalona Shaheen 103 all out by 68 runs.
