Game Two of the Cataluyna Junior League saw Friends post a victory over Cornella with Spanish Under 19 player Sarmad Ali starring with both bat and ball.
Friends batted first and notched up a total of 140 all out. Ali opened the batting for his team and carried his bat to the end of the innings remaining unbeaten on 50. He was well supported by Eshan, who scored 26, whilst Husnain was the pick of the bowlers for Cornella, taking three wickets for 39 from his four overs.
In reply Cornella were all out for just 92 runs. Both openers Qasim and Jaldeep scored runs for their team but there was very little support from the middle and late order batsmen. Sarmad Ali once again put in a telling performance in the field, as he took three wickets for just 21 runs. Eshan also starred with the ball, also taking three wickets, at a cost of 28 runs.
Friends (2 points) beat Cornella (0 points) by 48 runs.
