Foodland T20 Cricket Tournament begins next Saturday in Madrid
Madrid Cricket Club is pleased to announce it is holding another Twenty20 cricket tournament in the Spanish capital.
Following on from the success of the first such tournament in March of this year, on this occasion the event is sponsored by Foodland, a local Indian food store with two outlets in Madrid.
The Foodland T20 Cricket Tournament involves four teams and will be played over two weekends. Taking part are Madrid CC 2nd XI, Madrid United CC 2nd XI, Triskel Taverners and a new team from the Bangladeshi Association in Madrid.
All games will be held at Madrid CC’s home ground in Alcorcón with matches starting at 10:15.
The action begins this weekend with the semi-finals:
Saturday 6th October – Madrid United 2nd XI v Triskel Taverners
Sunday 7th October – Madrid CC 2nd XI v Bangladesh Association XI
The losers will play off for third-fourth place on Saturday October 13th, while the winners move through to the final on Sunday October 14th.
