SPAIN IN GROUP A FOR UNDER 19 TORNEO
The Spanish Under 19 side have been drawn in Group A in the forthcoming tournament in the Isle of Man
It is a tough draw for Spain who are pitted against the Division 2 Under 17 champions and hosts
as well as three associate nations, Germany, Gibraltar and Italy.
Group B will be contested between Belgium, Denmark, France, Israel and Norway.
La Seleccion start with a match against Iberian rivals Gibraltar on the 27th July at Kings William College pitch 2. A day later they are at the same venue but on pitch 2 against Italy.
The 30th of July is a reserve day then next up the following day for Spain are Germany at Vagabonds. The first day of August the Spaniards play their final group game against the Manxmen at Kings William College on pitch 2.
The play offs will be a one game affair with the team finishing spot in Group A seeing them play the Group B team that finish in the same position.
Spain will go with 13 players and coaches Neil Brook and Armaghan Khan. Claire Sunderland will be scoring for Spain for this tournament.
La Manga are well represented in the squad with Joel Brook, Alfie Harris, Tom Vine, Jake Sunderland and the Panchal brothers Ravi and Akash all on their books.
Cataluyna provide two players in the shape of Faisal Mohammad and Abdullah Danesh and the Southern league have representation from Combined Colleges, with Callum Murphy and Ben Girling making the squad.
Lanzarote´s Charlie Cook again makes the team after playing in the Under 17 torneo last year in the Isle of Man and the squad is completed by the Sporting Alfas duo Jamie Roper and Antonio Gomez-Brown.
