The only game played in the Cataluyna League last weekend was a Group D game between Farners and Selva Cricket Club.
Farners batted first but found the Angles pitch difficult to master and posted the small total of 150 all out. Eight players reached double figures but the top score out of those eight innings was by Jaspreet Singh who made 22. Karanjit was the star with the ball for Selva taking three wickets for 25 runs.
Karanjit also performed well with the bat for his team top scoring with 36. Unfortunately only two of his team mates could offer any kind of support as Vicky (15) and Sunny (16) made contributions but all the other Selva batsmen could only muster 24 runs between them.
41 extras helped Selva but is was not enough as they were finally all out for 131, 19 runs short of their target. Sukinder and Wajid took three wickets apiece for the Farners club.
Farners (10 points) beat Selva (0 points) by 19 runs.
