FALCO BEAT CORDABA TO BECOME 2009 LEAGUE CHAMPIONS
Falco beat Cordoba at the end of last month to become the newly crowned champions of the 2009 National league. Falco won the toss and elected to bat. In a rain affected game they amassed the impressive total of 267 for 9 off just 37 overs. Most of the batsman contributed to the Falco score, Ali Adnan hit 59 off 30 balls, Jabid 42 off 28 balls, and Tanveer 47 off 44 balls. With Yasin scoring 31 and Ali 22 as well, it seemed a huge task for Cordoba as they came out to bat.
Soon Cordoba were in trouble and a mixture of dreadful running between the wickets and good Falco fielding constituted to six run outs in the Southern league winners innings. Their final score of 94 all out left Falco the newly crowned champions by 173 runs. Mudaris was the pick of the bowlers with 3 for 21 off 6 overs.
