The Cataluyna Cricket Association pulled off a tremendous coup for cricket throughout the world when one of their youngsters was picked to share in a video with football superstar Lionel Messi to promote the product Herbalife.
The video shows Messi playing cricket with Vinod Kumar one of the star players from the regions Junior Academy. Vinod had to go through several casting appearances before he was picked to star with Messi in this once in a lifetime opportunity.
Messi can be seen batting and bowling in the video with Vinod on the receiving end of the Barcelona aces cricketing exploits. The video is sure to give cricket more exposure throughout Spain and the Cricket Espana director of Cricket Neil Brook is hoping it can be used to promote cricket throughout schools and colleges in Spain.
Well done to Vinod, Robert Masih and the Cataluyna Cricket Association for promoting cricket so powerfully.
