Six more matches were played in the ECCL Indoor League and after the second phase was completed Torrevieja remained in prime position with Sporting Alfas close behind.
The first game of the day (game Seven in the tournament) was a one sided affair with Sporting Alfas beating La Manga Kings A convincingly by 62 runs. Next up was arguably the best contest of the day when Torrevieja beat La Manga Kings B by just one run in a nail biting conclusion.
Torrevieja then went on to beat La Manga Kings A in more convincing fashion before Sporting Alfas returned to action and saw off a plucky effort by La Manga Kings B to the tune of 11 runs.
Sporting Alfas stayed on to play Torrevieja in the top of the table clash and it was the Alicante outfit who had the bragging rights this time around, winning by 5 wickets to close the gap on the table leaders.
The last match of the day was played between the two La Manga Kings clubs and it was the B team that took the derby honours with an emphatic 66 run victory.
After round 2 Torrevieja lead the way with 94 points with Sporting Alfas and La Manga Kings B close behind with 81 points and 72 points respectively. La Manga A prop up the table currently on 31 points.
