ST GEORGE SEE OFF THE DRAGONS
St George had another successful day at the office in their latest league encounter, disposing of Dragons CC by 95 runs . Dragons won the toss and put St George into bat. Runs flowed freely and the home side notched up a comprehensive 294 for 4 off their allocated overs. Top score for St George was Craig Andrews who was out just six shy of his century, and he was ably supported by Gary Cooper who hit a fine 69 not out.
In reply the dragons mustered 199 for 9 off their 30 overs with the mainstay of the innings being Matthew Evans, who scored a creditable 67. Joe Hodges put in an outstandimg bowling performance with figures of 2 for 18 off six overs. The next league game on the island sees the Fishermans Inn take on the Collegio Hispano Colts.
