The eagerly anticipated match up between St George and Lanzarote proved to be a one sided afffair as St George easily brushed aside the Lanzarote challenge.
Lanzarote batted first and could only manage the measly total of 53 all out. All four of the bowlers used by St George’s took two or more wickets in a great collective display of team bowling.
St George spent little time in overtaking the total posted by Lanzarote and they were back in the pavillion celebrating victory after just 8.3 overs with all ten wickets still intact.
Unbeaten after five games St George can now not be overtaken at the top of the league and as a result of this victory clinched the Lanzarote league title with one game outstanding.
