SPORTING ALFAS II V VALENCIA STARS (LEAGUE)

Valencia Stars made their first trip to the Woodbridge Oval this season and came away with a 47 run victory.

After winning the toss the Stars elected to bat, but things did not go according to plan as they lost three quick wickets.

Then a 94 run partnership ensued between Mohsin and Hassan. Hassan went on to top score for his club with a fine 44 runs. 

The innings was given additional momentum by a fine innings from Asad who smashed 40 runs from just 15 balls. The visitors finally carded a total of 180 all out.

In reply, Alfas struggled from the off, losing quick wickets at untimely intervals. Hassan produced a fine spell with the ball to take five wickets and put in a great all round performance for the Stars. The hosts were finally all out for 133, some 47 runs shy of victory.

Valencia Stars (18 points) beat Sporting Alfas (7 points) by 47 runs.
