SPANISH PLAYERS PROMINENT IN THE STATS

Numerous Spanish players futured heavily at the top of the statistics column for the ICC Europe Division Two Tournament that as just ended in Corfu, Greece

Three centuries were scored at the event and all three were scored by members of La Seleccion. Tariq Ali achieved the feat twice against Estonia and Portugal respectively, whilst Jim Morgan also got to three figures in Spain´s match against Luxembourg.

Tariq Ali also had the top run rate aggregate and the top strike rate in the event whilst Talat Nadeem was the top wicket taker for Spain and seventh overall in the final standings.

Captain Mark Spencer had the best bowling in he innings twice and the 135 run partnership between Tariq Ali and Christian Munoz Mills against Portugal at Messonghi was also the premier one of the tournament.

Jim Morgan came fifth in the wicket keeper stakes despite missing one game behind the stumps and Sajad Ali was the top catcher in the side taking seven catchers to finish third in the overall tally.
