The latest match in Cataluyna Primera Division B saw Friends XI win a high scoring contest at the expense of Barcelona CC.
Batting first Friends posted the fantastic score of 199 for 7 off their 25 overs. This was in no small part to a second wicket partnership which saw opener Babar hit 65 and Jamshaid smash 72 off just sixty balls.
Small cameos at the end from Zulqanain (17) and Razaqat (13) just failed to get the Friends XI score to the magical 200 mark.
Barcelona made a fist of it and went down fighting but were finally all out for 144 in the 22cd over. Opener Yasin top scored with a fine 42 and Khalid made 21 from 23 balls early on but Barcelona could not maintain the momentum to sustain the run rate required and finally fell 55 runs shy of the required total.
The win for Santa Coloma Friends gives them a perfect four from four start and they now look the team that everyone else has to catch if they want to win Primera B.
