As part of the Valencia day of sports and the World Day of Physical Activity Cricket España arranged with Newton College of Elche to try out cricket through the Criiio entry level programme.
Coach Neil Brook and three facilitators from the school did Criiio style activities with children from Year 7 to year 10. There were 55 boys and girls in total that tried out this new format for cricket, with the session ending with a group of mini matches between the children.
Further inter-school cricket events are planned for throughout the year in the area, as Cricket España look to promote and grow the sport at grass roots level in the Elche region.
