The latest Division One league installment saw Madrid and Madrid United lock horns at Sonseca and it was the United batting that won the day for the home side.
Madrid put United into bat and they scored full maximum batting points, ending their innings just shy of 300 runs for the loss of seven wickets. Jimmy Ashraf was in great form and completed a fine century in what was the highlight of the United innings.
In reply Madrid just scraped over 200 runs between them to finally lose the game by a comprehensive 89 runs. All three Madrid clubs occupy the top spots in the league presently, but all have played several games more than pre-season favourites La Manga and Sporting Alfas who play against each other this coming weekend at the Murcia resort.
