Madrid Cricket Club to be located at Polo Club Haras.
After fifteen years of playing home matches in Murcia, Madrid CC is delighted to announce that from the start of April 2016, the club will be based at Polo Club Haras in San Fernando de Henares, a short drive from the centre of Madrid. A three year contract has been signed for use of the facilities which include the excellent grass playing surface maintained by the Polo Club and the installation of practice nets.
Madrid CC fields two teams that play in the first and second divisions of the central and eastern Spanish leagues. It is a multicultural club featuring members from over 10 different nations that promotes school cricket in and around Madrid. For the last ten years their April charity tournament in La Manga has attracted teams from around the world, raising money for sports based NGOs and the promotion of cricket in Spain.
By most measures cricket is the number two sport in the world and although largely unknown in Spain, with the establishment of the new ground, Madrid Cricket Club hopes to offer many more people the opportunity to learn and play the game.

Después de 15 años teniendo que viajar hasta Murcia para jugar partidos “en casa”, Madrid CC finalmente ha conseguido un campo en Madrid y a partir de abril 2016 tendrá su sede en Polo Club Haras, San Fernando De Henares. Se ha firmado un contrato para 3 años que permite el uso de los excelentes campos de hierba del club de polo y la instalación de redes de práctica
Madrid CC tiene dos equipos que juegan en la primera y segunda divisiones de la liga central y este de España. Es un equipo multicultural con jugadores de 10 nacionalidades distintas que aparte de jugar al cricket, lo promociona a través de sesiones de introducción al deporte en colegios de Madrid. Durante los últimos diez años, Madrid CC ha organizado un torneo anual en abril que atrae a equipos de varios países para recaudar fondos para ONGs relacionadas con el deporte y para la promoción del cricket en España.
Conforme a la mayoría de métodos de cálculo, el cricket es el segundo deporte del mundo con más aficionados y jugadores y aunque sea desconocido en España, con el establecimiento del primer campo de cricket en Madrid, el Club espera dar la oportunidad a más gente a conocer y jugar este deporte.
