LANZAROTE SCRAPE HOME BY 15 RUNS OVER THE COMMITMENTS CC
Lanzarote CC made it two wins out of two when winning a close encounter over The Commitments CC. Lanzarote batted first and posted a respectable total of 171 for 8 off 30 overs. Deepu Dadlani (43) and Bharat Paryani (27 not out) were the mainstream of the home teams score.
Commitments pushed the home side all the way with their reply and fell just shy of the Lanzarote total by 15 runs. Darren Hawkins hit a great 46 and David Leibrant scored a spirited 24 for the visitors, but the jewel in the crown for Lanzarote was the bowling of Daniel Jethani, who bagged 3 for 31 to give the home side their second consecutive league victory.
