Lanzarote Cricket Club got back to winning ways with a comfortable victory over rivals Puerto Del Carmen Cobras in the latest league installment on the island.
Batting first Lanzarote posted a score of 177 all out. Monish, once again was the star for Lanzarote, scoring 66 before being caught by Rogerson off the bowling of Cooper. Opener Frankie also got 48 to help his team to a respectable score at the half way stage.
The Cobras innings started badly with the loss of the openers cheaply, and as a result, they failed to gain any impetus in their run chase, and finally stuttered to 99 all out, 78 runs shy of victory.
Singh and Hirst were the only Cobra players to reach double figures, whilst Bunty ended with the respectable figures of 3-15 from his five overs.
Lanzarote (10 points) beat PDC Cobras (0 points) by 78 runs.
