This eagerly awaited fixture started with the La Manga captain winning the toss and asking the visitors to have a bat ,in very hot and humid conditions batting proved to be hard and after 15 overs Valencia were 50 for 2.
The game unfolded with some great fielding from the home side with C hunt behind the stumps producing some high level wicket keeping.
Rupert James in the outfield was faultless as the middle order pushed up the run rate. The innings finally concluded on 198 all out in the last over.
Zabiv top scored with 40,and there were fine figures from T Vine who bowled 8 overs (including 2 maidens) for 15 runs to be the pick of the bowlers.
Again the chase was slow with La Manga also reaching 50 for 2 off 15 overs.After the break some good bowling from the visitors carved through the top order restricting Lamanga to 115 for 6 off 40 overs.
Both teams should be congratulated on a fine match played in a great spirit .
