La Manga welcomed an inform Alfas side on a hot morning Alfas won the toss and put La manga into bat ,Alfas opening bowlers were straight on the attack A Wadjit bowled with great skill moving the ball both ways making batting very difficult for the Lamanga openers A Wadjit finished with figures of 8 overs 3 for 30 .
La Manga struggled at 22 for 3 ,wickets continued to fall at regular intervals and the innings finished at 129 for 8 of 40 overs D Williams top scored with 32 the tail did wag for la manga and P Brimble and H James put on 36 both finished not out.J Perman was the pick of the bowlers with fine figures of 8 overs 3 for 20.
Alfas began the chase with a solid start putting on 42 for the first wicket T Brown hit a solid 33 La Manga never gave up and produced some very tidy bowling T Vine finished with 8 overs 0 for 21 ,H James picked up 2 wickets ,N Harvey for Alfas guided the visitors home with a fine 42 in the 31st over.
The game was played in a great spirit and both teams showed that there early season good form should place both teams well for the second half of the season.
La Manga 129 for 8 off 40 overs lost to Alfas 132 for 6 off 31 overs.
