Newcomers to the league La Manga Kings strolled to easy victory over Madrid second XI at La Manga to stay heavily in contention in this years ECCL Division Two.
Batting first Madrid could only manage 104 all out with only three players reaching double figures. The pick of the bowlers for the Kings was Tim Stevenson who took 3-18, and he was well supported by Charlie Hunt who returned figures of 2-9 from his four overs/
In reply, La Manga Kings made light work of chasing down the low total. Spanish over 40 international David Williams was in fine form, scoring 54 not out and he was well supported by Stevenson, who notched 34 before getting himself run out.
The seven wicket victory gave the Kings maximum points and Madrid returned home with three from their days work.
