The Cataluyna Junior League Final was played between Friends XI CC and Santa Perpetua CC at the Vic Ground.
Friends XI batted first and scored 164 run from their overs allocation. In reply, Santa Perpetua struggled from the start of their innings and failed to get close to the required target.
Gopi Singh was voted man of the match as a result of the 78 runs not out he scored for his team. It capped off a fine season for the Friends XI youngster who had knocked the first century in the Junior League by scoring 106 runs in 58 balls earlier i the season.
As a result of his outstanding performances through the season the Federation gifted him 1st Century of Junior league 106 runs in 58 balls. Federation gifted him new shoes and a cash prize.
Pak Montcada were the sponsors of the finals and several of the players on show had represented Spain in the ICC Under 19 competition in Essex earlier in the year.
