The draw for the inuagural ECL (European Cricket League) took place in Munich earlier this week and on paper Cataluyna CC look to have come out of it favourably.
The Barcelona based club came out fourth of the eight teams and will play in Group B alongside Janjua Brescia (Italy), St Petersburg Lions (Russia) and SG Findorff (Germany).
Group A was quickly tagged the group of death with the major forces of the competition, Voc Rotterdam of Holland, Svanholm CC of Denmark and Dreux CC of France pairing up against each other alongside outsiders Cluj Cricket Club of Romania.
This years competition will be T10 format and will take place at La Manga Club from between 28th of July and 1st August.
New Balance and Kookaburra will be among the numerous sponsors of the tournament that will have all the games streamed live throughout the world.
