The eagerly awaited Cataluyna Premier League last weekend and it was Barcelona Qalanders who drew first blood by beating Tarragona Gladiators in a Super Over after the game had initially been tied.
After a colourful opening ceremony Tarragona and Barcelona each scored 122 from their twenty over allocation in front of a large crowd.
The Super Over that followed was a one sided affair as the Qalanders scored 17 runs and the Gladiators only five runs.
Babar Mirza was nominated the man of the match. Lleida Lions, Cataluyna Kings and Girona Royals are the other three teams in this years competition.
