City Lions Cricket Club continued their unbeaten start to the league season with a comprehensive victory over Gracia CC.
Winning the toss the Lions decided to bat and the decision looked to be justified as they set Gracia a total of 179 to win. Khurran top scored for the Lions with 61 n a fine aggressive display and he was well supported by several of his team mates who also made notable contributions. Goldy was the pick of the Gracia bowlers taking 3-41 from his five overs.
Gracia never really got to grips with the City Lions bowling in their innings and they were eventually bowled out for a sub par 70 in just 17 overs. Moazzam was the major reason for such a low Gracia score has he took four wickets for just 16 runs.
City Lions took the points to join Cataluyna in second spot of Cataluyna Group A with two wins each from two games. Girona United remain the team to beat presently having won three games from three.
City Lions 178 for 8 beat Gracia 70 all out by 108 runs.
