Cataluyna CC joined Girona United at the top of Division A with their third consecutive win, whilst Badalona Shaheen are still awaiting their first league win of the season.
Batting first after losing the toss Cataluyna posted a score of 161 for 4 from their 25 overs. Asif was the main contributor to the score making 82 not out, and Nisar hit 31 from 32 balls at the end of the innings to set the imposing total.
Shaheen lost both openers quickly but Bilawal (46) and Sarmad (41) kept their side in the game for a while. However, the Badalona tail proved longer than usual as their last six batsmen mustered only a handful of runs between them.
Badalona were finally dismissed for 134 in the penultimate over. Ali and Yasir were the standout bowlers taking two wickets apiece at an economical rate. The 27 run victory gives the top two sides in the Division A some breathing space over City Lions, Gracia and Girona Warriors.
