Match Twelve in the Cataluyna Regional League pitted Badalona Shaheen v Girona United. United won the toss and elected to bat first. It was a decision they did not regret as they went on to poat a score of 180 for 9 off their 25 over allocation.
Basharat Mirza once again starred for the team from the North of Cataluyna, hitting 88 off just 65 deliveries. For Shaheen, Hamza was outstanding with the ball taking five wickets for just 25 runs.
In reply, Shaheen plugged away but were never really in contention, and their innings finally ended one over shy of their full quota as they were all out for 133.
Sarmad top scored with 59 but he received little support from his fellow batsmen. Nasir took the second five wicket haul of the game for just 19 runs as Girona ran out worthy 47 run winners.
Girona United 180 for 9 beat Badalona Shaheen 133 all out by 47 runs.
