ALCORCON WIN CAPITAL CITY BATTLE WITH MADRID

Sundays game at La Manga matched Alcorcon with Madrid. Alcorcon won both games to put themselves in a good position in the table.

In the first game Alcorcon won the toss and batted.Dangerman Tariq Ali got a start but failed to make his usual big score, getting called off former Spanish international Irshard Khan for 22. However, all the other major Alcorcon batsman got into double figures, leaving them with a final score of 151 for 6.

In reply Madrid were 116 all out in the 18th over. Only Healey and Langhans reached double figures as Madrid´s batting crumbled not for the first time this season. All the Alcorcon bowlers returned respectable figures as the won out worthy winners by 35 runs
