A combined team comprising of Girona Warriors and City Lions won the Empuribrava Cup this weekend beating Santa Coloma by 55 runs in a thirty over competition.
Batting first the combined XI put a challenging total of 225 on the board with Ihsan Butt top scoring with a well crafted 90. He was well supported by Shahzad Cheema (36) and Gurvi Singh (25)
Santa Coloma competed well but found the run chase just too match, finally getting bowled out for 170. All the Combined bowlers had an impact on the game as the Empuribrava Cup remained in Girona. Special thanks goes to Kamran Butt for great management of the event.
