Match day four of the first week in the three week competition brought together teams from Group B again. In the first event of the day Gracia made their debut in the competition against Raval Sporting.

Gracia are considered one of the strongest teams in the Cataluyna league but their batting let them down badly as they only made a meagre 57 runs. Ishan Patel with four wickets for ten runs was the main instigator of the Gracia batting collapse. Raval Sporting had little difficulty in overturning the small total, and breezed to victory with ten wickets to spare. Openers Lovepreet Singh (38 from 21 balls) and Datta Karan (20 runs off 19 balls) scored the runs for Sporting.

Raval were back in action for Game Two of the day, but did not enjoy the same result, going down to a six wicket defeat at the hands of Pak Montcada. Batting first, Raval suffered the same fate as Gracia in the first game and were bowled out for just 50 runs in 9.3 overs.  Nawazish Ali took three wickets for just 12 runs for Montcada. In reply, Prince Dhirman scored 18 off 12 balls and Asjad Butt 18 not out off 13 balls as Montcada swept over the line with 17 balls to spare. There was a noticeable performance by Gaurang Mahyavanshi with the ball for Raval, as he took three wickets for just three runs in a spectacular spell of bowling.

The third game on Thursday was between Men in Blue and Hira Sabadell. The Blue men batted first and notched up a total of 97 for 9. Skipper Prasanna Jathan hit 29 off just 12 balls to give his team the best total of the day to date. In reply, Hira got close to the required score, but were just eased out of the match by some tight bowling, as they finished on 87 for 6, some 11 runs shy of the needed response.

The final game on day four brought Falco into the picture as the played against Men in Blue. MIB batted first and scored 84 for 8 from their ten overs. With Falco´s batting line up it never seemed enough, and that proved to be the case, as Falco came home with seven wickets to spare. Opener, and Spanish international, Awais Ahmed was the star of the show, crashing 35 off just 24 balls for his team.

Tommorrow we wind up Week One with four more games from Group A, as both groups start taking shape now that every team as played at least one game.
