ECS BARCELONA DAY SIX REPORT FROM MARK LOVELL OF THE ECN TEAM & CRICKET ESPAÑA

Pak I Care look on course for the top group spot after two convincing wins on Monday.

Pak I Care needed only 4.2 overs to chase down previously unbeaten Catalunya Tigers total of 94 as Sikander Ali set loose with an unbeaten 51 off 16 balls with six maximums.

In the final match of the day, Pak I Care posted a mammoth 152 with Muhammad Ihsan (49), Sikandar Ali (45) and Muhammad Kamran (36) all making merry. In reply, Raval Sporting limped to 73 as Pak I Care progressed to an easy win.

Raval Sporting did rack up their first win earlier in the day on the back of Gurwinder Singh’s rapid 36 off nine balls against Minhaj. Minhaj batted first and notched up 101 for 8 from their ten overs. Youngster Manish Mawani put in a good shift with the ball and took two wickets for just 14 runs for Raval. Sporting overtook the Minhaj total with ten balls in hand despite a great two over spell from Majid Hanif who took two of the three Raval wickets to fall for just six runs.

Minhaj did recover to see off the challenge of winless Fateh thanks to Jafar Iqbal’s juicy innings of 71 in match three. Minhaj batting first scored 113 for 4. Fateh in reply fell just 19 runs shy of the required total, finishing their effort on 94 for 4.
