EAGLES FLY TO THE TOP OF THE LEAGUE
Barcelona Eagles currently rule the roost in Barcelona after beating a Barcelona XI by 2 wickets to sit pretty at the top of Cataluyna league A.
Barcelona XI won the toss and elected to bat. A good first wicket parnership of 60 gave the Barcelona XI a solid start but a middle order collapse undid all the good work of Kazim and Zia. The Barcelona XI finally ended at 140-9 off 25 overs.
In reply, the Eagles reched their target with 1.3 overs and 2 wickets to spare. Their victory was largely thanks to a sparkling 39 by T Mehmood and useful contributions from Ali and Javed who scored 26 and 17 respectively.
