Six teams will compete in the Madrid Eighth Annual Solidarity Tournament (Madsol) for the Atkinson Cup later this month at La Manga Club Resort.
The tournament this year draws on clubs from the UK and Spain with each team playing each other once, before concluding on the final day with a third v fourth play off and the final on Sunday 19th April.
The six teams competing are the hosts Madrid CC and their main rivals and neighbours Madrid United CC. Completing the line up are FC Captains, Phoenix, Alliance and Cavaliers XI.
Both cricket pitches at the resort in Murcia will be used with the first games of the tournament taking place at 10 am on Friday 17th April. The competition is Twenty-Twenty format and admission to the ground is free. Several social functions have been arranged during the course of the weekend with profits going to various charitable organizations of Madrid CC’ choice.
