DRAW MADE FOR MADRID TWENTY20 TORNEO
The draw was made recently for the 4th Annual Madrid Twenty20 charity tournament to be held at La Manga resort over the Easter weekend.
8 teams will be competing for the trophy that has been won the last two seasons by Amsterdam CC and Excelsior20 CC of Rotterdam respectively. As no Dutch team has entered the event this year and the teams are of relatively equal standard it is anyones guess whose name will be on the trophy come Sunday evening.
Group A will be contested by Woodford Wells of England, Tallinn CC of Estonia and two of the premier clubs in Spain, La Manga CC and Madrid CC.
Group B is an all Spanish affair with a Lanzarote Select XI pitting their wits against Valencia Green, a Capital XI (from Madrid) and a Spanish Under 19 select XI. The Under 19 is an interesting entry and will serve as a warm up event and team bonding session for their forthcoming ICC Europe Tournament in the Isle of Man later this summer.
