Daniel Doyle Calle and Cricket España received some fantastic news recently when the Spanish opener received an invite to play in this year’s Unity Cup in Washington DC, USA.
Doyle Calle who recently scored a century for Hermes in the Hoofdklasse in Holland has been selected by Khulle Sher and will head out shortly to the States to meet up with his team mates, that will include New Zealand international Chad Bowes, who recently smashed two half centuries in white ball matches against Pakistan.
The ICC sanctioned event will take place in the District of Columbia between May 22nd and May 29th. Khulle Sher, which roughly translates to “Tigers of the Jungle” will start their campaign against California Titans on the first day of the tournament, and then the following day play Daddy’s Kingsmen. Their final group match on May 24th will be against Florida Scorpions.
Other confirmed participants include Jacob Duffy, the New Zealand international, who will also represent Khelle Sher, and the West Indian duo of Ashley Nurse and Johnson Charles, who will play for Samp Army and Asia United respectively.
The matches will be livestreamed on you tube with eight cameras and umpire reviews in use.

Prior to jetting off to the States Daniel will be in action for his club Hermes, who have a league game tomorrow (Thursday 18th May) against VVV of Amsterdam. His team currently lie second place in the table behind Quick CC. The Hague based side remain unbeaten in the league so far, and inflicted the only defeat to date on Hermes in a recent encounter that went the way of Quick, courtesy of Duckworth Lewis, in a rain affected game.
Everyone at Cricket España wishes Daniel well on his trip to America and hope he will get an opportunity to be among the runs for Khelle Sher.
