Thanks for the efforts of members of Ibiza Cricket Club the sport is to be added to the school curriculum of Mona International School.

For the last few weeks Molly Sellars has been going into the International school every weekday and introducing the pupils to the basics of cricket. Pupils from the ages of six to eleven have taken, or will take part in the activities that will span the course of four to five weeks.

As well of this Molly has been instrumental in delivering cricket coaching for boys and girls on the White Isle every Sunday. Molly said “I would like to give a big thank you to the school for allowing me to come in to teach the kids and introduce them to something new. Hopefully, it is just the start of cricket here in schools here in Ibiza, and in Spain”

It is indeed exciting times for cricket in Ibiza, as they continue to thrive and develop. Lots of touring teams are already locked in for tours, and the club retained the Balearic Cup this year to become the first team to be confirmed in the National Championship Finals, that will take place in Alfas d’el Pi in November.
