Yesterday 200 young children tried cricket out for the very first time by participating in a project called “Sport at Christmas” .
Around 120 boys and 80 girls converged on the wonderful Marbella deportivo, by the beach in Barcelona, to have an introduction to cricket session from nine in the morning to one thirty in the afternoon.
The youngsters were put into eight different groups, depending on their age groups ranging from eight years old to fourteen, and then given basic cricket drills to try out under the coaching eyes of Nadim, Samaia and Nausheen.
More activities are already planned for the New Year, using the Entry Level Program curriculum and equipment provided by Cricket España and the International Cricket Council.
