Cricket received full page coverage in one of the National Newspapers of Spain yesterday.
Page fifty of the La Vanguardia highlighted the Champions League Trophy Final between Pakistan and India and compared it to football’s Barcelona and Madrid Classico, a River Plate versus Boca Juniors derby in Buenos Aries, and even the North London confrontation between Arsenal and Tottenham.
In an article entitled “Cricket – Un deporte de Masas” it also had a small inset about information regarding Cricket in Spain as well as some photographs pertaining to the final match iteslef that was played in London last weekend.
Many thanks to the Sports Journalist Rafael Ramos for the exposure in the Catalan based paper that is one of the best selling periodicals in Spain with has had a circulation of around 200,000 daily in recent years.
