Pupils from Shoreless Lake School were given cricket equipment at La Manga recently.
The four students from Columbia, Ecuador, Spain and the USA had come to watch the scheduled game between Scotland and Spain which unfortunately had to be cancelled due to a waterlogged pitch.
Teacher Iain Clark has started cricket sessions at the International school in Totana and contacted Cricket Espana regarding the Spain v Scotland match.
The students were invited as guests by Cricket Espana and spent time with players and staff from both countries before receiving Kwik Cricket sets.
Junior Development Officer Neil Brook will be going to the school to do a coaching session and is also looking into the possibility of a match with another school in the area.
Afterwards the students wrote letters of thanks to Cricket Espana and are intending to come to La Manga in the near future when Spain play again.
