Todays Daily Snippet comes from the former Spanish skipper and Falco Cricket Club all rounder Tanveer Iqbal.
Tanveer, a stalwart of many ICC competitions picks the game against Belgium in 2014 at La Manga as his favourite game in National colours. Belgium had a very strong side that included Brighton Watambwa, who had played six tests for Zimbabwe previously, and they had been coached by former Surrey and England wicket keeper Jack Richards going into the ICC event.

Tanveer, along with his team mate Nisar Ahmed put on a partnership of 89 after Spain had lost four early wickets in their chase to surpass the Belgium total of 131 for 7.
Ahmed, finally went for 65 with only nine runs required. Tanveer saw the game home by hitting a six, to give Spain victory in the 18th over.
Tanveer, who was also the Spanish captain that day picks this match because “it is always a special occasion to hit the winning run with a six and very few times in one´s career do you win such an important game by smashing a six for victory”
Tanveer was recently awarded his Spanish cap in a recent meeting with Cricket España and the newly formed Cataluyna Directive, of which Tanveer is a member.
Tanveer, who was a former policeman, continues to play regularly with his club Falco and still remains one of the top all rounders in the Cataluyna League.
Many thanks for your services to Spanish cricket Tanveer.
