CORDOBA 350 FOR 9 BEAT MALAGA 142 ALL OUT BY 208 RUNS
The second of the five match series between Cordoba and Malaga was a one sided affair with Cordoba taking the match comfortably by 208 runs.
Cordoba won the toss and elected to bat on a sunny day in the Andalucian city. Outstanding batting by Waqas (71) and Adil Raza (69) helped the hosts to a mammoth total of 350 for 9 off the regulation 40 overs. Poor bowling contributed to the high score with over 100 runs coming in the form of extras.
Malaga stuck to their task gamely but did not have the batting firepower to chase down such an impressive total. Despite useful contributions from Zaman, Kareem and Asif the visitors were restricted to 142 all out off only 23 overs.
Shoaib was the pick of the Cordoba bowlers with the impressive figures of 4 for 28 off 5 overs. The match leaves the two teams tied with one win apiece, but Cordoba lead the table as a result of accumulating more points over the two games played.
