THE COMMITMENTS BREEZE INTO LANZAROTE CUP FINAL
The long awaited semi-final between The Commitments and Collegio Hispano Colts turned out to be a one sided affair with Commitment´s winning by 265 runs.
The Commitments won the toss and amassed a huge total of 312 for 4 off their allocated overs. Chris Smith scored an undefeated 101 and Darren Hawkins fell just seven shy of his century in what was a match winning partnership.
Facing such a uphill task, Collegio were bowled out for 74 with Ashton Bruinetes returning figures of 4 for 10. The Commitments will now face The Fisherman´s Inn in the Lanzarote Forty40 Cup Final.
