Combined Colleges finished off their league campaign with a maximum points victory to claim this years Southern league title.
Their final encounter matched the champions with Costa Del Sol and the game proved to be a one sided affair.
Batting first Colleges posted a mammoth 332 for 7 off their allocated overs. Colleges had two centurions to thank for their large total, Nushan scored 118 not out whilst Brian Barratt managed 108 not out. The Costa Del Sol bowlers plugged away doggedly and Phil, Tony and Morly all got two wickets each.
Costa Del Sol have struggled with their batting all year and this game proved no exception to that trend. They were bowled out for just 148
Ashan took a five wicket haul for the Colleges whilst Morly finished off a good days work for Costa Del Sol by top scoring with a well crafted 40 runs.
Colleges obtained 20 points for the game whilst Costa Del Sol returnd home with 5 points.
The Andalucian Cricket Association have confirmed they will play in the La Manga Twenty20 torneo in September and a new club, Seville CC have expressed an interest in joing the Cricket Espana league next year.
