COMMITMENTS HANG ON TO FEND OFF THE COLTS
An excellent days cricket saw the Collegio Hispano Colts fall short by just 17 runs in chasing down the considrable total of 214 all out that had been set by Commitments CC off 28.1 oves. Darren Hawkins and David Smith again top scored for the visitors and for the Colts, the ICC Europe School of Excellence player Climie Hewitson took 4 for 29 off six overs.
In reply the Colts scored 197 for 5 off their 30 overs, being thwarted in no small way by the bowling of Keith Brown, whose economical spell of five maidens from six overs proved crucial in the context of the match. The game ended with Colts claiming 9 points and the Commitments 16.
